Our most frequently asked questions

Can I bring my puppy to the daycare centre?

Once your puppy has had its second injections, you are welcome to bring them to Unleashed. Our puppies spend their time in the main area as that is where they learn best from the older/wiser dogs. We ensure all our puppies are closely monitored and plenty of chill out time is available.

Can I watch my dog in daycare?

We do operate an open door policy, so you're welcome to peak through the viewing window providing it doesn't upset the dogs. We also have CCTV in the play areas. Owners do get regular updates from the team when they collect their dogs so you're kept up to date on your dogs day. We also have Facebook and Instagram which we post on daily, so you may spot you dog on there too!

What if my dog gets sick or is injured?

Our team are always on the lookout when it comes to your dogs health. Any signs of things like upset tummies, infections, coughs or odd behaviour will always be logged in the day book, and we will inform you when you collect your dog. Anything serous we will always call you right away. Daycare staff are also qualified in dog first aid so anything urgent can be dealt with immediately.

Does my dog have to be neutered or spayed?

We are unable to take un-neutered dogs over the age of 1 therefore any dog joining us before this will need to be neutered at 12 months if they still wish to attend day care.

Can my dog come to Unleashed if she is in season?

Unfortunately we don't allow dogs that are in season, and we're unable to take responsibility if your dog becomes pregnant in our care

Does my dog have to be vaccinated for kennel cough?

All dogs that come to Unleashed are strongly recommended to be vaccinated against kennel cough- it's highly contagious, being both airborne and spread via surfaces. Vets can easily and quickly administer a kennel cough vaccination.

Do all dogs get on?

We carefully assess each dog before they join us at Unleashed, including finding out about their history and any stress triggers, to ensure we know how they react to people and other dogs. Only dogs who pass this assessment will be able to visit the daycare, for the safety ans well-being of all dogs at Unleashed.

What happens if there's a disagreement between dogs?

In the very rare event of a disagreement, our team are trained as part of a rigorous induction to move fast and deal with the incident effectively and immediately. In the event of the above, the owner will be informed straight away.

Do I need to bring toys and bedding?

Because Unleashed is a group play environment, we've got plenty of toys to keep all dogs occupied, and lots of bedding to ensure they're comfy and cosy during downtime.

Do I need to bring food for my dog?

Most dogs don't require feeding whilst they're at Unleashed, but we're always able to accommodate feeding requirements if necessary; just bring the food in with you and we'll feed as per instructions. Puppies especially may be on a lunch routine.

What happens if i'm late picking my dog up?

We understand that things don't always go to plan, so let us know if you are going to be late, and our team will look after your dog until you arrive. Please note there is a £5 fee for collection between 7.00pm and 7.30pm, which increase to £10 if collection takes place between 7.30pm and 8.00pm.
